As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, Peter Ririe, MD, Cares for a wide range of ocular diseases for patients of all ages. Dr. Ririe specializes in providing general ophthalmology care for numerous eye conditions including glaucoma, diabetes, ocular trauma, macular degeneration, and cataracts. He has been extensively trained to evaluate and perform state of the art cataract surgery and is certified to perform femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery. Dr. Ririe has experience using premium astigmatism and presbyopia correcting intraocular lenses allowing many patients to achieve greater freedom from glasses.
Dr. Ririe received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Brigham Young University. He completed both his medical schooling and residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He also completed a combined medical/surgical internship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Ririe has been intimately involved in clinical research and diabetic retinopathy and laser assisted cataract surgery.
Dr. Peter Ririe is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Association of Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.

On a personal note…
Dr. Ririe was born and raised in Provo, Utah. He and his wife, Kathleen, have four children. Dr. Ririe speaks fluent Armenian. In his free time, he loves spending time with his family, barbecuing, and enjoying the outdoors.
