Meet Dr. Garlick
Nathan D. Garlick, OD is a comprehensive optometrist who understands the life-changing impact that healthy eyes and good vision have on patients of all ages. Dr. Garlick works as part of our eye care team to treat conditions of the anterior segment of the eye, including keratoconus, ocular injuries, and chronic inflammatory diseases. He also helps manage other conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.
Dr. Garlick graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He received his Doctor of Optometry from the Ohio State University. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy and served as an active-duty optometrist in Okinawa, Japan and San Diego, California. During his service, Dr. Garlick was twice awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and received the Humanitarian Service Medal for his efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Garlick is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and is committed to employing the best practices of comprehensive eye care for his patients. In particular, he finds great joy seeing children receive their first pair of glasses.

On a personal note:
Dr. Garlick was born in Utah but grew up in College Station, Texas. He enjoys beach days with his wife and children, exploring space through his telescope, and reading biographies and the classics. Dr. Garlick is fluent in German.
