Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is an advanced form of skin resurfacing which uses a spray of highly controlled crystals to loosen and remove the surface layers of dead skin cells to improve circulation and encourage the formation and growth of new skin.

What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive skin treatment that gently exfoliates the outermost layer of dead skin cells to improve skin texture and appearance. It is performed using either a handheld device that sprays fine crystals or a diamond-tipped wand to lightly abrade the skin, while suction removes debris and stimulates circulation. This process helps brighten dull skin, smooth rough texture, reduce the appearance of fine lines, unclog pores, and improve mild discoloration. Because it only treats the surface layer of skin, there is little to no downtime, making it a popular maintenance treatment.

Our Microdermabrasion Options

Microdermabrasion treatments generally fall into two types: crystal microdermabrasion, which uses fine crystals to exfoliate and vacuum the skin, and diamond-tip microdermabrasion, which uses a textured wand for more controlled exfoliation. Treatments can vary in intensity depending on skin sensitivity and goals, and they are often performed in a series for best results. Some providers combine microdermabrasion with hydrating masks, chemical peels, or LED therapy to enhance outcomes.
