WHAT IS MICRODERMABRASION?

Microdermabrasion is an advanced form of skin resurfacing which uses a spray of highly controlled crystals to loosen and remove the surface layers of dead skin cells, improving circulation and encouraging the formation and growth of new skin. WHAT ARE MICRODERMABRASION TREATMENTS LIKE?

During the treatment, your esthetician glides a delicate hand piece gently across the skin. A gentle vacuum lifts the skin while a microcrystalline spray stimulates and abrades the surface. Dead cells and debris are then vacuumed away, producing a superficial skin polishing.

Treatment for most conditions is a series of six visits, scheduled one to two weeks apart. After a thorough diagnosis, your esthetician will recommend a skin care regimen to prepare your skin, and make it more receptive to the Microdermabrasion treatments.

After the first series, most results can be maintained with a follow up every few months. More severe conditions may require additional treatments to achieve the desired appearance, or your esthetician may recommend other types of peels for your particular skin condition or level of treatment.
