N. Kent Linton, M.D.

N. KENT LINTON, M.D. has more than 20 years of ophthalmologic experience and provides a variety of services, including optical exams, cataract removals and cornea transplants.

Known for his caring and gentle treatment of patients, Dr. Linton consistently remembers important personal details about each person with whom he works. "I love working with people," says Dr. Linton. "As a doctor, I try to remember that we're not just treating eyes. We're caring for individuals with different needs, fears and personalities."

Before joining Excel in 1996, Dr. Linton operated a private practice in Payson for 14 years. Prior to his time in Utah, Dr. Linton gained experience at a private practice in Ohio, served as the Clinical Director for the Winslow United States Public Health Services Hospital and practiced general medicine at the Indian Health Services Clinic in Arizona.

He is currently acting as Chief of Staff for Ophthalmology at Mountain View Hospital in Payson. Dr. Linton is a member of The Utah Ophthalmologic Society, The American Academy of Ophthalmology, The Utah Medical Association and The Utah County Medical Association. He is Board Certified in Ophthalmology. He also donates time to the Mountain View Hospital Board.

Dr. Linton graduated from Ohio State University Medical School and interned at Southwest Michigan Health Education Center. He filled his residency at the University of Michigan School of Medicine.

On a personal note….
Dr. Linton was born and raised in Ohio. He and his wife, Helen have two children.
